Hi Madeline and Brad!
How are you? Well, we took Clarisse to the eye specialist last week. What a coincidence! The vet that examined her was the vet that examined her when you guys took her to the doctor up there. Her name is Dr. Kari Schmidt and she was great. She said that the whiteness in the left eye is due to cataracts, and her right eye is develping them as well. I saw that on the report that you gave us... they have just progressed.
The Doctor is not recommending surgery of course, because of the P.R.A. She said there is no sign of glaucoma or swelling... a little redness that she gave us some drops with Prednisone for. Clarisse's eyesight has gotten worse in the last month but she manages around the house just fine. Of course in new environments she is pretty blind.
I ordered her an angel vest and got an e-mail today that it is on its way, along with an eye shield she can wear outdoors so she won't injure her eye.
Dr, Schmidt said she probably won't experience any depression when it goes totally because it has been a gradual process. She is so happy you guys. She goes to work with George every day and sleeps between us every night. She lays her head on my shoulder at night and licks my face. She has been such a source of happiness for us.
We are going to take her on vacation in September, (not sure where we are going... probably on a driving trip). She plays with her ball constantly, and sitll follows me from room to room. She even lays on the bath mat while I'm in the shower!
We got your letter regarding the show. I will get a photo to you. Do you want me to e-mail it or send it? And who knows... we might show up at the show so you can see Clarisse.
You guys are the best!
Linda, (and George and Clarisse)

Hi you guys!
Well, it's been a while since I've written, I know. But George and I still thank our lucky stars that we found you.
We are enjoying Clarisse every minute of every day. She is, of course, pretty blind. But, you were right! She has adjusted very well and is happy as ever. She still plays tug-o-war. She carries her ball every where she goes. She still goes to work with George everyday.
We are going on vacation at the end of this month to the Kern River. We will be taking Clarisse. She loves it! She is quite spoiled. I have not sent you any pics because my digital camera is not working. Did you ever end up selling your house? Send me your address and I will send you some recent pictures.
Anyways... thanks again,
She is the greatest!
Linda, (and George and Clarisse)
