4-Year-Old Neutered Male White Standard Poodle
Lightening has been adopted - now living in Washington State with a WONDERFUL FAMILY!
Here is one of the sweetest dogs any of us have ever met. Lightening is 4 years old, a neutered white male Standard Poodle.
Found with his ears badly infected he screamed with pain when Madeline, Heidi and Caroline started cleaning them out - BUT even with such extreme pain he did NOT turn and try to bite.
Bradley Patterson, DVM has prescribed a round of antibiotics and ear drops/wash that will clear up his infected ears and of course also help his slightly infected eyes.
When he shook his head during his first night and day in foster he cried with pain but now he is doing much better.
We all can see that he LOVES people, is eager to please and is already one of those we know must go to someone EXTRA special.
So far, to ease his transistion and because he has been in pain, his grooming has been minimal.
You'll notice that he has a little staining around his ears, eyes and mouth - and on his feet.
The staining on his head will grow out as he is treated and his coat will then once again be a pretty white.
The staining on his feet is because he's been licking/chewing himself because of fleas. This too will also grow out and be replaced with pretty white coat, now that he no longer has fleas.
Lightening loves to ride in the car!
This one truly is an absolute doll with personality plus.
